He received his degree in Chemistry from The University of California at<br \/>\nSan Diego where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned his MD degree<br \/>\nfrom Loma Linda University and completed his Ophthalmology residency at the<br \/>\nUniversity of California, Davis. He completed his Vitreoretinal fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Adrean is a specialist in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration<br \/>\n\u2013 the leading cause of blindness in the United States. He also specializes in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. His surgical specialties include repair of complex retinal detachments, repair of macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and the surgical management of diabetic retinopathy.<\/p>\n<p>He has written articles, many of which were published in peer-reviewed journals such as The Journal of Ophthalmology and The American Journal of Ophthalmology. Atop his already impressive list of credits, he has written a wealth of book chapters and is an editor for multiple journals in the field of ophthalmology. He is a frequent public speaker at The National Meeting for Retina Specialists. He is also a principal investigator for trials on new and emerging therapies relative to retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and diabetic retinopathy. He brings cutting-edge surgical and medical care to patients in need.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Adrean is a bilingual doctor as well as a diplomat of The American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of The American Academy of Ophthalmology. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
